Cod Protein is exclusively produced from deep-sea wild-caught cod (Gadus Morhua), harvested from the crystal clear waters of the North Atlantic Ocean. The off cuts from cod fillet are steam-cooked, dried and micro-milled into fine powder. The process is very gentle and thus preserves all the important nutrients in fish.

Studies show that optimal health is achieved by eating fish every day. The Department of Health recommends eating a minimum of 300 – 450 g fish a week. Seagarden Marine Extracts are all made from the liquid phase after the boiling process. The water soluble parts from the fish or shellfish are undergoing a separation step and the clean extract, containing water soluble peptides, nucleotides and pure amino acids, is then evaporated to a liquid (40 % DM) or further to a paste (70 % DM). Some liquids or pastes are further spray dried to a powder. Normal carrier added to the extracts are salt (NaCl) before processing.
