Supporting animal welfare: Introducing marine collagen for animals

Publisert 04.03.2025

Sales Manager Pet and aquaculture, André Bratland (to the right), and the rest of the sales team are happy to announce a new effort supporting animal welfare with premium marine collagen.

The principle guiding Seagarden’s efforts to improve animal welfare.

To build a business on sustainable principles, we can’t leave a single rock unturned in pursuit of our goal – providing high quality fish-based ingredients from marine residual raw materials.

By committing to this path, we’re balancing the scale of animal welfareat sea – avoiding overfishing and changes in marine habitats.

The principle of animal welfare, however, extends far beyond the sea; across agricultural lands and grazing livestock, to our homes where animals have become our companions.

Unfortunately, the scales need balancing. Just like us, our companions have suboptimal diets leading to health issues and nutritional deficiencies.

That’s why a growing number of people seek to improve the quality of our animals’ diets, and we wish to support them.

–  By introducing premium marine collagen to the growing animal food market, consumers gets another option; one that takes the principle of animal welfare to the next level, says Sales Manager Pet and Aquaculture, André Bratland.

Because the benchmark can’t be set to just avoid overfishing and changes in marine habitats. The principle of animal welfare has to encompass more than that. Thriving ecosystems emerge when there’s balance across the board. And Seagarden’s committed to follow through all the way.

After all, that’s why they’re called principles.
