The Food Safety- and Quality policy for Seagarden AS is compliant to the FSSC 22000:2018, and current laws and regulations issued by local authorities

  • Seagarden is dedicated to complying with FSSC 22000:2018, a certification Scheme for Food Safety Management Systems, recognized by GFSI.
  • We commit to continuous improvement of our Food Safety Management System. • The Management system shall be a tool for achieving our goals within quality and food safety.
  • As a tool for improve and developing the management system in the company, we use deviations and other control parameters to measure improvements and status
  • Seagarden is committed to supply high quality and services that meet customer expectations, technical requirements, and conditions. The basis for this commitment is the responsibility to ensure high quality of our products, and to communicate these needs throughout the organization.
  • We will comply with requirements of local authorities and ensure good communication with the relevant public bodies.
  • To ensure food safety, Seagarden follows the HACCP principles when evaluating product and process. The HACCP control plan (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) is reviewed annually by the Food Safety Management Team.
  • We undertake to prevent food fraud that can affect/damage food quality and food safety and to develop and maintain a Food Defense Plan with the aim of reducing food safety risks associated with intentional contamination.
  • We continuously work with our suppliers to ensure they understand their responsibilities regarding food safety and quality.
  • We have a strong focus on production hygiene and maintenance, including machines, equipment, buildings, and facilities for employees.
  • Good training of employees provides committed and skilled employees and an understanding of each individual’s influence on food safety at all levels. We have shared our Food Safety and Quality Policy with all employees and provide them with the information, training and tools necessary to meet company standards. They are required to inform management of all activities and conditions which put, or are likely to put, product safety or quality at risk.
  • Hygiene rules for employees and visitors must be followed. Employees receive yearly review of training and continual updates via internal communication (f.e. info screen)
  • The product information to all markets must be correct, honest and in accordance with the regulations.
  • Seagarden AS is committed to producing Halal products in compliance with Halal guidelines issued by the Islamic Religious authorities and train and involve all company stakeholder to understand Halal Assurance System. Seagarden AS will ensure Halal integrity of food processes starting from the control of raw material and ingredients to manufacturing, packing, storing and distribution. We strive to ensure that all our food products are Halal through continuous improvement.
